At Wobuntu Langa Peopleize After School Programs, we take great pride in offering a holistic approach to youth development, and our Health & Sports education component lies at the heart of this endeavor. Encouraging young individuals to keep fit, learn about healthy eating, and engage in physical activity and sports not only nurtures their bodies but also fosters essential life skills and values.

Our program boasts a variety of sports activities that promote teamwork, leadership, and a wholesome lifestyle. Through participation in diverse sports, students gain discipline, resilience, and improved communication, while developing a strong sense of camaraderie with their peers. Witnessing the positive impact on these young minds is both rewarding and motivating for our team.

In a recent class, students delved into a series of coordination exercises using the agility ladder, followed by football footwork and technical training. The excitement and enthusiasm among the participants were palpable, reflecting their dedication to their personal growth and wellbeing.

One of our valued team members, Nathi Gigaba, shares the joy of volunteering at Wobuntu Langa Peopleize, specifically at Siyabulela Primary School, where he has observed tremendous improvements in the students’ sports skills and overall confidence.

As Zuzeka Mashiya, the owner of Zuzi Cafe and a dedicated member of Wobuntu Langa Peopleize, beautifully puts it, “Supporting these students means investing in the next generation. By empowering them with healthy minds and bodies, we are laying the foundation for a brighter future.”
