BEEZMOVE GUGULETHU PEOPLEIZE

We are a group of individuals that come together to help transform Gugulethu into a self sustainable independent, digital and green community that grows from within.

The goal of the Wobuntu Gugulethu Peopleize is to provide the start up cost & materials that will support the Beezmove Gugulethu Peopleize Do-It-Yourself businesses created by the skilled & talented people of Gugulethu that are eager to build their communities together. This will empower the community to create new jobs, and build infrastructure.

As a member of the Wobuntu Gugulethu Peopleize, I agree to actively contribute my time, skills, and resources to support the vision of creating a self-sustaining Gugulethu community. I understand and acknowledge that by becoming a member, I will volunteer 10 hours each month to the Gugulethu after school program, and I am committing myself to the following principles and responsibilities:

1. Commitment to the Community: I am dedicated to the betterment of the Gugulethu Township community and will actively work towards its self-sustainability. I will engage in activities that promote community growth, entrepreneurship, education, and the development of essential services.

2. Collaboration and Support: I will foster a spirit of collaboration and support among fellow volunteers, community members, and local businesses. I will actively seek opportunities to share knowledge, skills, and resources with others, creating a network of support that uplifts our community as a whole.

3. Entrepreneurship and Business Development: I recognize the importance of entrepreneurship and the creation of new businesses in building a self-sustaining community. I will actively support and participate in the establishment and growth of local Do-It-Yourself businesses, offering my expertise, mentorship, and assistance to aspiring entrepreneurs.

4. After School Program Engagement: I understand the significance of education and its role in empowering individuals and communities. I will actively contribute my time and skills to support the after-school program, providing guidance, tutoring, and mentoring to children and youth, helping them excel academically and develop essential life skills.

5. Service Provision: I recognize the importance of providing essential services to our community. I will actively participate in projects and initiatives that aim to create and improve services such as clean water facilities, showers, toilets, bakeries, and cafes. I will work towards ensuring these services meet the needs of the community and contribute to its overall well-being.

6. Sustainable Practices: I am committed to promoting sustainable practices within the community. I will actively engage in projects that promote eco-friendly solutions, such as rainwater collection, water treatment systems, and solar energy implementation. I will strive to create a greener and more environmentally conscious Gugulethu Township.

7. Personal Growth and Development: I recognize that by being a part of the Wobuntu Gugulethu PEOPLEIZE Community, I have an opportunity for personal growth and development. I will actively seek opportunities to learn, acquire new skills, and broaden my understanding of community development, entrepreneurship, and sustainable practices.

I acknowledge that I am an integral part of the Wobuntu Gugulethu PEOPLEIZE Community. Together, we will work towards creating a self-sustaining Gugulethu community, empowering individuals, and fostering a brighter future for all.
