I am thrilled to share with you an incredible experience that has been shaping my path in the world of theater and education. As an aspiring facilitator and director, I recently had the privilege of participating in a transformative program alongside the CTDPS 3rd Year students working on Pieter-DirkUys Satirical play. It has been an absolute honor to work with the UCT CTDPS Center and students.

The essence of facilitation lies in creating an environment that fosters growth, creativity, and self-expression. 

Throughout the program, we delved into the nuances of directing, where the magic of transforming ideas into compelling narratives truly comes to life. The art of direction involves empowering actors to bring their characters to life while weaving a compelling tapestry of emotions and messages that resonate with the audience. Witnessing the transformation and growth in each participant was a gratifying experience that reaffirmed my passion for this craft.

I firmly believe that art is a powerful tool for social change, and through facilitation and direction, we have the opportunity to challenge stereotypes, inspire critical thinking, and ignite conversations that drive progress. Our program was not only about honing acting skills but also about fostering a community that embraces diverse perspectives and cultivates empathy.

Whether you are a student or not, our doors are wide open for you to explore the magic of the stage and the profound impact it can have on our lives and society.
